Food Introduction Workshop

Your baby’s pediatrician should be your primary source of information when it comes to introducing solids into their diet. However often due to limited time at doctor appointments and conflicting research and opinions, parents are left feeling lost and confused during this critical time. Common questions parents have are:

  • When are you supposed to start solids?
  • What food are you supposed to start with?
  • When do you move from single-grain cereals to multi-grain cereals?
  • Are you supposed to introduce vegetables before fruits?
  • Should I feed my baby organic foods or non-organic foods? Does it matter?
  • Should I make my own baby food or buy baby food from the store?

We understand your confusion.

There is a lot of information out there and it is hard to know what is right, what is wrong, what is practical for your life, what is important for your baby’s life and how to put it all together.

We have worked to combine the knowledge gained from pediatricians, primary research, secondary research and personal experiences into our Food Introduction Workshop. This course is designed to help parents gain the knowledge and confidence they need to feel comfortable when feeding their baby during their first year of life.  The course will discuss areas including:

  • When solids should be introduced into your baby’s diet
  • What foods should be introduced at which ages
  • What foods are important to buy organic
  • What foods you may want to make at home vs. what foods are easier, more practical and safer when bought in the store
  • Recipe ideas for easy, practical homemade baby food.

The first year of your baby’s life goes by so fast. This time in your life and in your baby’s life should be fun and enjoyable. Often the confusion surrounding food can damper this important time. This course will help you gain the knowledge you need to feel relaxed and confident when feeding your baby.
